AUDITION PROCESS FOR REGISTERED AUDITION APPLICANTS
- All auditionees will have an individual 12-minute time slot to present their audition to the panel (these auditions are closed auditions, the only people in the room will be the audition panel and the person auditioning).
- Auditionees are required to prepare 1 song (under 2 minutes in duration). Choose a song that will showcase your voice. It does not need to be from Jersey Boys. THOSE AUDITIONING FOR FRANKIE VALLI WILL NEED TO PERFORM A SONG OF THEIR OWN CHOICE AND THE FIRST 60 TO 90 SECONDS OF SHERRY. LISTEN TO THE BROADWAY OFFICIAL CAST RECORDING FOR TEMPO.
- Auditionees are encouraged to sing with a backing track. Please have the track ready to go on a phone / iPad. The audition panel will provide a Bluetooth speaker.
- Auditionees may also be asked to read sections of the script during their audition.
- When preparing your audition song, please be aware that due to time constraints we may not hear all of your song. In order to make the most of your audition and show as much of your vocal ability as possible, it is recommended you make some cuts to your song – where possible or appropriate, sing an additional verse and just straight to the chorus, or instead of repeating the chorus you can jump to the bridge etc.
